Egypt, Mit Ghamr Corniche, Dakahlia, 1925

Its original name was Munyat Ghamr, and it is mentioned in Nuzhat al-Mushtaq, which states: "It is a village with a market, shops, and a steady flow of income and expenses." It is also mentioned in Ibn Mamati's Qawanin, Tuhfat al-Irshad, and Taj al-'Arus, along with Munyat Hammad, corrupted to Munyat 'Umar and Hammad, in the Sharqia region. In Tuhfat al-Irshad, it is listed as Munyat Ghamr, in the Sharqia region. In al-Intisar, it is mentioned corrupted to Munyat 'Umar, in the aforementioned region. Its name was then changed from Munyat to Mit, and it was recorded in 1228 AH with its current name.

In 1871 CE, it was named Mit Ghamr Center.
